Description
The Tapered Blending Brush is a flat, oval-shaped brush that acts as the hero of eyeshadow blending brushes. Use the flat side to pack on colour and use the edges to smooth out transitions and soften. Designed for the use with pressed powder and loose pigment eyeshadow, this brush lays colour down gently and easily – for a well-blended, but defined effect.
Use with your favourite eye-shadows to pack on colours and softly blend. Use tapping motions, circular motions and wind-shield wiper motions to apply and diffuse the colour. Due to its shape and size, this brush should be used first to apply colour to the area desired with the flat side, then using the tip begin blending. Follow up with either our Medium or Large Blending Brushes to further blend and diffuse colour.
MADE FROM
Pure white, synthetic and vegan-friendly brush hairs, hand fitted into a gold plated aluminium ferrule to reduce shedding, attached to a tapered wooden brush handle for the most light weight feel and application. The synthetic hairs are coated with a unique resistant which stops product being absorbed by the hairs and deposits maximum product onto the skin, making it perfect for all makeup textures including liquid, powder, cream and gel formulas.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
The CJP Beauty Diamond in the Rough Makeup Brushes are handmade and can have a two-year lifespan if cared for correctly.
It is recommended to store your brushes in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and if possible covered to avoid dust build up. Our two-piece Travel Brush Case is perfect for storing brushes. They will last the longest if washed once or twice a week. Avoid over-washing as this will promote shedding and cause the hairs to fray. Please wash your brushes before the first use.
Spot Cleaning
Using the sponge side of our Squeaky Clean Brush Cleaning Tool, gently swirl your brush on the sponge to switch between eyeshadow colours. The sponge can be cleaned with warm soapy water and dried for reuse. When working on clients, clean brushes with our Got-To-Go Brush Sanitiser. Spray the brush in the solution and gently swirl the brush on a paper towel. Repeat until the brush is clean and sanitised.
Deep Cleaning
Using the grooved silicone side of our Squeaky Clean Brush Cleaning Tool, coat the damp brush in our Deep Clean Brush Soap and gently brush over the grooves of the tool until the soap turns white and all pigment has been washed away. Rinse under a light stream of lukewarm water, continuously swirling the brush against the grooves to remove all soap residue. Avoid wetting brushes past the aluminium ferrule to avoid shedding. Once all soap is rinsed, gently squeeze out excess water using a paper towel and allow to dry either flat or upside down (hairs pointing down).
To clean your Flawless Finish Blending Sponge, soak the sponge in lukewarm water with our Deep Clean Brush Soap and leave for 30 minutes. Coat the sponge in soap and gently roll it in your hands while squeezing, until all pigment has been washed away. Rinse well under lukewarm water by gently squeezing the sponge.
FAQ
Q: How can I avoid hair shedding?
A: When washing your makeup brushes, avoid getting water past the ferrule (gold aluminium part) as this is where the hairs are glued. Getting water under the ferrule will loosen the glue and cause shedding.
Q: How often should you wash your makeup brushes?
A: You should sanitise your brushes after every use, as this will prevent bacteria build up within the brush and will help avoid skin breakouts. You can do this with our Got-To-Go Brush Sanitiser. You should then deep clean your makeup brushes with soap and water weekly. Our Deep Clean Brush Soap is perfect for this.
